Linda Uhrenholt

Linda taught in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District for twenty years before joining the AT&T team. Her teaching assignments have included Science, English and Physical Education. Linda is a graduate of The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She also holds an administrative credential from California State University at Hayward.

Serving as a California Mentor Teacher for five years, she developed an expertise in staff development, specifically in the integration of technology into the curriculum. She was the first educator in her district to use the Internet in the classroom.

As an Education Advocate, Linda works closely with the greater San Francisco Bay Area AT&T account managers to identify opportunities, assist customers with technology choices, and provide value-add services such as customized workshops and presentations.

This workshop focuses on providing teachers and librarians tools and tips to locate valuable resources for the classroom and library. Ideal for those new to the Internet or those who seek ideas on how to use the Internet more effectively. Lost on the web, frustrated? This workshop is designed to help participants discover the assortment of available online search tools while exploring a wide range of search strategies for finding information. Beginning and advanced search strategy workshops are offered.

Ethics and Safety in a Virtual World
Technology makes for exciting times in education but what happens when the dark side of technology sneaks into the classroom in the form of an inappropriate website or online term paper mill? This workshop explores issues involving Internet safety, online ethics such as copyright and plagiarism, perils of newsgroups, web hoaxes and Internet legends.
