Rob started his career in education as a high school social studies teacher. He taught over one of the first distance education full motion video networks in Wisconsin. He then moved on to be a network director for an ITFS (Instructional Television Fixed Service) network in southern Wisconsin and worked for Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA2).
Rob next worked as an independent consultant providing training to teachers in the use of technology and videoconferencing. He also provided services to districts in technology planning and funding strategies.
For eight years Rob has served at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction as an instructional technology consultant. His primary function there was the management of federal technology grant programs. Rob brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Education Advocate position and will be able to assist districts and libraries in the planning, funding, and use of technology.
