Choose the Art
  1. Find your favorite picture at the bottom of this page.

  2. Click on it to make it big. When you find the one you like, print it. (Experiment with light/dark settings on your copier for best results.)

  3. Now you are ready to experiment with other styles than one in the original!

Swap Styles
  1. Try a different style than the one the artist used. If the artist used very neat lines, try using loose "brushstrokes," dots, or squares.

  2. Try opposites. If your original uses bright colors, try using darker colors. If your original has lots of dark shadows, then "turn up the lights!

Click on a picture below to open the image in black and white. Print it. Use pencils, crayons, paint, whatever, and try to imitate a different style than the artist used.
